Hello and welcome to my webpage!
I am an Associate Professor of Psychology in the Department of Behavioral Sciences at The University of Findlay.
As a Ph.D. student at Bowling Green State University, I studied the neural correlates of age-related cognitive impairment in homing pigeons (Columba livia).
When I arrived at UF, I began studying spatial cognition in whip spiders (amblypygi). Currently, my lab is beginning to study the effects of captive-breeding on the antipredator behavior and personality of woodlice (e.g., Porcellio scaber). My lab is also an annual contributor to the Monarch Watch Tagging Program.
In addition to my research, I have been teaching at the college level since 2015. I have taught a variety of classes, including Brain and Behavior, Animal Behavior, Evolutionary Psychology, Neuroscience of Psychopathy and Aggression, Neuropsychopharmacology, Cognitive Psychology, Theories of Learning, Research Methods, and Statistics.
